The young producer’s take on OneRepublic’s ‘If I Lose Myself’ from their latest album ‘Native’ is officially released today.
Since uploading a preview of the remix to his soundcloud less than a month ago the clip has already amassed a practically unheard of 740,000 plays on Alesso’s channel alone, quickly proving a fan favourite. Bringing out the emotive sensibilities of the original and drawing them out on to the dance floor, Alesso builds the track around the delicate piano melodies and soaring vocals, introducing driving drums and new melodic layers as the track explodes.
At just 21 years old, Alesso has quickly established himself as one of the most fresh and exciting talents of the dance music world, and with a flourishing back catalogue of club and chart hits already to his name and a reputation as a DJ that precedes him, this is clearly only the start for the supremely talented young DJ and producer.
