Rapidly rising UK artist Lippi (formerly Lippicool) has been causing a stir in the UK and Europe with his last single “Trust Me” produced by super French house producer Yann Cavaille. It was described as “hypnotiq” and a “very strong start” to Lippi’s career by BBC Radio 1’s Nihal. Having been played on BBC Radio 1, 1xtra and Asian Network over the last few months, play listed on Fearne Cotton’s BBC Radio 1 daytime show and holding a strong position in the top 10 Juno Download charts (Best Sellers), it is safe to say Lippi’s transition from world class beatboxer has come in full effect.
From raising the stage with artists such as Akon, The Game and Tinie Tempah, Lippi’s constant work rate and evolution as a musician brings us his follow up single, “Bring Back Them Times” produced by top urban producer Mr Virgo, who brought us the smash hit “Loveshy – Platnum” and is currently working with Giggs on his new album. This track “Bring Back Them Times” is a drum and bass record which can easily break into the commercial sector especially on the back of the success from Trust Me. The chorus is very up lifting yet holds meaning behind it, something everyone can relate to, wanting to “Bring back them times from when I was a child” on top of this masterful production, you can see it tearing up clubs and festivals in the foreseeable future!!
