With a Hype Machine-trending collaboration with Kaskade, a supporting slot on Morgan Page's North American tour and a new original called 'Motionless' releasing today, it's safe to say that Project 46 are having their best year ever. And for a duo that's only been on the scene since 2012 and have already broken into the DJ Mag Top 100, it's a year that would exceed the expectations of even the most established artist.
Today's release 'Motionless' is an uplifting progressive house tune featuring the ethereal voice of Seri, who's previously been heard on tracks with Markus Schulz and Giuseppe Ottaviani. With heavy builds and melodic chord progressions paired with heavenly female vocals and a massive drop, 'Motionless' is the ultimate dance floor package. Its release comes on the heels of their featured lead track from Kaskade's new album Atmosphere, 'Last Chance,' which is currently #9 on the iTunes Dance Chart without even being released as a single.
Well-known for their mashups, remixes and A-list collaborations, the duo who work from opposite sides of Canada have built up a large fan base by putting most of their music up for free download. But even with giveaways, they still crack the Beatport Top 10 with nearly every official release. Their breakthrough track "Reasons" featuring Andrew Allen went straight past Tiesto to the #1 overall spot on Beatport in April 2012. Now a favorite of progressive house lovers everywhere, Project 46 will perform in nearly 20 cities on the much-anticipated Morgan Page Presents Tour.
