LZ7 RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE #AFTERSHOW
After a top five hit on itunes last year with ’27 Million’, LZ7 are back with an impressive new sound. Led by Lindz West, LZ7 made a return to the music scene ahead of summer with their new track ‘#Aftershow’. The track heralds a change in direction for the band whose latest song can be likened to The Black Eyed Peas and David Guetta.
Just in time for summer, the party anthem was released on June 2nd, making it perfect for the upcoming season in Ibiza and taking it straight to number 5 in the UK Dance Charts. ‘#Aftershow’ was released through LZ7’s own label Light Records and distributed through EMI, a big coup for the band who have been working hard in preparation for the release of their new material.
2013 looks set to be a big year for the band who are heavily involved in charity work with a label slogan that proudly declares ‘more to the music’. The pre-orders for their new single were opened at Brighton’s Big Church Day Out on 25th May to an eager crowd of around 15,000 people. The upcoming album, due for release in September, features collaborations with Grammy Award winner Matt Redman and Family Force Five, whilst the band will be touring the UK throughout June and July to promote their latest offering.
Continuing their work for charity, the second single will see them team up with Christian organisation Compassion, with a release to support the Sponsor A Child charity. Additionally, from 13th September to 18th October this year, lead man Lindz will be found cycling through every human trafficking hotspot in Europe, covering 2700KM in just 27 days and taking in locations from Sofia to London as part of the Cycle For Freedom campaign. The project will see Lindz and other celebrities, including Olympic hero Bradley Wiggins, team up with Sky TV to make a documentary to highlight the cause.
With so many exciting projects in the pipeline, and a new album due out, ‘#Aftershow’ is the beginning of a new and inspiring chapter in LZ7’s journey.
